Some things about the pandemic

Hello everyone,

In this post I’m going to talk about things related to the pandemic.

In general, my family has been very respectful of the quarantine and we have gone out as little as possible. With my sister and my mother (who are the ones I live with) we have tried to take care of ourselves by following health protocols. I have seen my father rarely in the last year and when it has been possible we get together with all the necessary measures. With my family, we are in contact through calls or virtual meetings, we also communicate by whatsapp.

I think that in some way, this situation has forced us to rethink how we live our lives. In that sense, I think we have learned to value more the situations that we considered quotidian and that we never thought would be the way they are now.

I also believe that the pandemic has made the great inequalities in our country even more visible. I have the illusion that our society will improve after this if we take care not to forget that things need to change. However, I’m a bit pessimistic about it because I see how our ruling class still seems to be unaware of the conditions in which the country lives.

During this quarantine I found myself again with writing and sewing. I have sat down again to write and I am making a gift cushion for my sister.

I have a complicated relationship with the study because sometimes I think it is good for me but other times it makes me feel very overwhelmed. I still don't get used to going to online classes and I really miss seeing my friends everyday.

Regarding the pandemic, I think it is necessary to remain optimistic after living in uncertainty for so long. Personally, I cling to the idea that this will end sooner rather than later. A lot of strength for everyone, I hope that soon this will be part of the past.
