About psychology in FACSO
Hello everyone!
In this post I’m going to talk about some thinghs that I think that could change in my study programme and in the faculty where I study.
Although it seems to me that the first year manages to make an introduction to the world of social sciences, I found it difficult to link the contents to psychology in some courses until much later in the career. In that sense, I think that in the first semesters there could be subjetcs that introduce the world of psychology that, in addition to allowing an entrance to the subject that gives meaning to the other courses from the beginning, teaches us things that are often assumed that we know but not really. In these subjects, certain basic notions could be explained that allow us to give an idea of general concepts, important names to know and that tell us a little about the many areas of application of the career (since we learn more about this in the third year and it could be earlier).
It seems to me that the degree could last one more year, giving a total of 6 years, since this way the workload can be distributed in a more friendly way (because there are semesters that are really heavy) and we have more time to deepen and put our knowledge into practice (especially when we have already more decided which area of psychology and which approach interests us the most).
I think the faculty infrastructure would change the rooms of the old FACSO building or the number of students per room, since they are quite small and, in addition, in summer they are extremely hot. Regarding the use of technology, I would not make major changes, since I think it is used well for the type of career.
Finally, we have many teachers throughout the career and each one has their own methods, I like some more than others. I believe that a lot is learned in the courses in which dialogues on the subject are proposed and in which the works have to do with the application of the contents.
the changes you propose are very interesting! very good post
ResponderEliminarwhat good proposals, these are necessary changes to improve the curricula and Facso
